We have just introduced this exceptionally good quality polyester synthetic
canvas.
This is a great alternative to the 100% cotton canvas we sell if you are working to a budget.
This canvas has the feel and texture of fabric but is made from 100% polyester.
It can be described as heavy photo canvas and is 248 gsm in weight. The colour of the canvas is a slight ivory.
What is brilliant about this canvas is that it is totally water resistant so
your inks will not smudge if they come into contact with water or you need to wash
it.
We are offering two sizes A4 and A3 so you will be able to print off your designs
and fold them around and frame and make your own box canvases.
Because the canvas has the same properties as fabric you could even sew it but
we think
you would have to use a sewing machine, the fabric might be too tough for hand
sewing.
We see and test many canvas products and some of them do not come up to scratch
and many
man-made canvases have a horrible plastic coating on them and will crack when
folded. This new
canvas will not crack when folded because it is like a fabric. It does not have
a plastic coating so
your project will not have a cheaply produced look. Your images will print beautifully
with bright and crisp results.
You do have to make sure you print on the right side of the canvas, one side
has a
smoother surface and this is the side you print on, the back of the canvas has
looser
weave.
We have been really impressed with this new canvas and we think the price is
reasonable too.
