ReviewImage Very often old guitars lose their logos from headstocks, either through damage or willful removal. I use laser water-slide decal papers to make new ones and what a fabulous material it is!

ReviewImage I used laser water-slide decal paper in white to create white letters. The letters were made with a red background which I cut as close to as possible, these were finally sealed with a glossy varnish.

ReviewImage I used the clear transfer paper for all the decals that had no white in them and the white decals for all the opaque work. I was quite surprised that the transfers handled going right down to 0.2mm points for 'The Blades' lettering on the right wing!

ReviewImage I have recently restored a vintage Carlton bicycle. I have re-sprayed the frame and made all the transfers to match the originals as closely as possible. The transfers were all made using white laser waterslide decal paper.

ReviewImage I've used both the clear and the white papers, the clear is great floated over gold leaf as it gives a strong rich and luxurious feel to the work, over bare wood it allows the grain to show through and I use the white when I need something truly opaque that will allow the image to stand out.

These are the papers you need if you want to apply your decals to any non-porous surface but don't need to put the finished object in the dishwasher. (You can hand-wash them in hot soapy water without the images fading or flaking off.) Our 'water-slide' papers are a 'dream come true' for model-makers: now you can make unique decals for all your trains, boats, planes, die casts, remote control models and the like. They're also perfect for transfers onto wood that has been painted or sealed, glass, plastics and melamine (for decorative plates, for example), soap and metal objects: no need to buy different papers for different surfaces. And if you fancy making the most stunning personalised candles they're ideal for transfers onto wax too: the candles will burn normally - if you can bear to watch your creations disappear, that is!

( this video shows how to use the inkjet water-slide paper, you use the laser paper in exactly the same way but you do not need to spray it with acrylic spray after printing.)
Use our laser water-slide decal sheets to make all sorts of personalised gifts for friends and family (and for dolls and their houses!) Remember, if you don't fancy creating your own artwork and scanning it, there's a boundless supply of stuff out there on the internet ready to be downloaded and used to create your own unique decals!
We've got water-slide decal sheets for inkjet printers and for laser printers; we've got A4 sheets (available individually) and great-value packs of 50 A4 sheets.

Choose the right sheet according to the colour of the surface to which you will be applying the decal: broadly speaking you'll need clear paper for light backgrounds and white paper for dark backgrounds. Print your image or text onto the paper using your laser printer: no need to seal the ink before submerging in water. After submerging your decal is ready to be transferred onto your project. And once you've done this you just need to wait 24 hours for the transfer to sink into the object so that the edges cannot be felt. Perfect! Once purchased you should store your decal paper carefully (away from moisture) and use it within one year.
